Alison Newman Interiors is a high-end residential design firm specializing in traditional interiors. Influenced by a passion for fine antiques and vintage textiles, Alison possesses a keen eye for color and fine decorative furnishings that allows her to adapt to a multitude of client styles.
A Connecticut native, Alison received her bachelor’s degree from Skidmore College. After ten years of marketing-focused roles for luxury brands, including the Italian bedding and linen firm, Frette, she parlayed a love of fabrics into a career shift.
The blueprint for this change led her to the New York School Of Interior Design (NYSID) where she obtained her design degree in 2016. While at NYSID, Alison interned at Frank di Biasi Interiors before transitioning to a designer position with Eric Cohler Design. Alison further refined her skills and broadened her exposure to superior craftsmanship under the acclaimed architect/designer Juan Montoya, with whom she worked for five years before launching out on her own.
Alison currently spends her time between Connecticut and New York with her husband, Matt, daughter, Sophia and her two fur babies, Midge and Bo. (A Braque Français and English field-bred cocker, respectively)
